Ingredients:
- 5oz-6.5oz wafers (150-200g), look for something similar, there should be 5 sheets
- 16oz milk (500ml)
- 10.5oz sugar (300g)
- 7.56oz chocolate(200g-214g)
- 2 sticks butter (250g)
- 10.5oz grounded walnuts/pecans (300g)
- 14oz (400g) crushed Maria (Petit-Beurre) cookies
Instructions:
- Mix sugar and milk right before boiling, make sure the sugar dissolves
- Add pieces of chocolate, butter (cut in small chunks to melt faster), the grounded walnuts and the crushed cookies
- Mix everything very well
- There are 5 waffles, divide the mix in 4 equal parts
- Spread the mix equally on a wafer, cover with another one, repeat for 4 wafers, top with the last one, no spread there.
- Put it on a clean flat surface or , cover with a clean kitchen towel, put something heavy on top, e.g. 2lbs something on each end
- Wait overnight, cut in 4-5 bite sizes, see top picture
