Ingredients:

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 4 cups broth or 2 cubes bullion and 4 cups water
  • 24oz whole then 20oz broccoli chopped
  • 8oz carrots grated or finely chopped
  • 4 cups milk
  • 16oz grated cubed cheddar or sliced


Instructions:

  • Add butter in a double bottomed pot, melt it and saute the chopped onions until translucent and a bit brown.
  • Add chopped garlic and saute for a minute or two.
  • Add flour slowly and mix well.
  • Add water, milk, chopped broccoli and carrots.
  • Cook on medium, medium-low for about 15-20 mins.
  • Add cheddar and cook until melted about 3-5 mins.
